Grumpster, Martinez has scored loads for the U23's, but still isn't given a chance in the first team.

Re: Summer signings just not good enough.
Fletcher scored a couple for the U23's last night as well.

No excuse to not give him a chance considering we don't have a single striker who has scored yet and he's the only one who has looked like doing so in his limited appearances.

Very good point, Kite.

Re: Summer signings just not good enough.
What I don't get is where has the money gone.
The first 4 years since promotion we spent the bare minimum, reasons given by DS was the 100m owed to the bank.

2012/13 - 16m
2013/14 - 20m
2014/15 - 26m
2015/16 - 25m
2016/17 - 43m

(Figures from Transfer Market)

Then we were told the debt is coming down, first it come down to 80m then 70m. I thought great, hoping that the last season at the Boleyn we will spend a bit more than previous years, but again that didn't happen, we were told next year when the new TV money becomes available things will be different.
Yes it was different, as we found out the debt owed now to DS wasn't actually being paid back and the reason why we only spent 43m this year was the 100m debt.

So after years of sell-out crowds paying top 4 ticket and corporate prices, added to TV money/ bigger stadium we are still no better off.

Fletch is a player not being played
Just as Antonio, Obiang and Fernandes were not

Get the bloody bloke on the pitch

Fletcher is at least a West Ham player unlike those two footballing imposters

Re: Summer signings just not good enough.
Would at least like to see Fletcher get first run off the bench ahead of Zaza and Calleri.
They have done nothing to be ahead of him in the pecking order.
Fletcher scored one and forced an o.g for the other in the PL2 2-1 win over WBA tonight. Calleri also played ... nul points.

Re: Summer signings just not good enough.
Fletcher is at least as bad as Calleri. Zaza is different league shit though. We are a joke club.

Bilic doesn't even trust the Italy international he has wanted for two summers, no chance he is going to play a kid regularly.

We're stuck with playing without a striker until Carroll comes back by the looks of it. Fucking two bob shit, that is.

The one fella that came in over the Summer is Fletcher, i think he needs anrun in the side.

Not 5 mins here and there, when we are losin and hoofing it

"if ever there was a time to get icardi its now. they should just man up and put there fucking money where their mouth is. £50m bid in, no fucking around. "

Penners, firstly the transfer window isn't open, so it's pointless bidding now as he could be injured by January. Secondly, what makes you think we can afford 50m, let alone risk it on a young foreign striker that might take ages to settle in the country?

Other than that though, it's a sound plan.

Re: Summer signings just not good enough.
Two of our summer signings- Calleri and Fletcher - get a run out for the stiffs tonight against WBA at Dagenham tonight KO 7pm. I wonder if Calleri will get his first goal for the club...

'Movement' was too broad a term. I rather meant that he isn't renowned for dropping off or playing the channels.

Re: Summer signings just not good enough.
Where did that principal criticism come from?

The only problem I have heard him criticised for is being a bit injury prone.

'The principal criticism of Sturridge is lack of movement'

Personally I thought it was one of his best strengths, he's superb at pulling away from his man.

Doe's anyone know the full details of the Zaza loan.I know that if plays 14 games we have buy him for a fee of about 20 Mil. That's not going to happen so does then return to his parent club after say 13 games.

Re: Summer signings just not good enough.
I think when you see how shit Zaza is it fucking winds fans up because they'd rather see a younger player be given the same amount of minutes

tbf none of us thought zaza would be this shit

Re: Summer signings just not good enough.
While I generally agree about getting young players in, you can't say we've lost nothing if they don't develop.

Fernandes and Martinez cost £8m+ between them in fees plus whatever their wages are over the course of their contracts.

It all adds up so you can't just take a punt and hope they come good.

sturridge

injury prone = tick
moody = tick

I'd say nailed on
